This more like a pre-announcement, than an actual announcement.  Anywho:

We're currently at 390,000 posts.  Less than 10,000 posts away from reaching that 400,000 post count milestone!

We've been stuck in the 300's for far too long....

:arrow: What date will we hit the 400k milestone?  Post up your guesses here.  :)
 
I might have a prize for the person who posts the right answer (if the right answer gets posted). Maybe something like 4 rep points (one for every 100,000 posts) and some $WB's. :)

I think we'll do it before the year ends.

um.... December 28th is my optimistic guess. :P

Using the stats page I have worked it out to be the 1st Jan 2015. I know the post per day isn't exactly correct however its the best estimate we can make. We are 10,000 posts away, divide that by the 206 posts per day on average and we get 49 when rounded. So we are around 49 days away which puts us around Jan 1st/2nd.

I don't think that would really make much sense. Otherwise people could subsequently hold off a guess until we are less than a hundred posts away and then make the guess for the next couple of days or so.

Just hope this doesn't encourage spam posts like I've seen in recent days. Hate to reach our goal knowing the posts weren't quality ones.
