The 10-episode weekly series hails from the producers of "Extreme Makeover."

VH1 is stripping down for romance.

The music-themed cable network has picked up to series Naked Dating, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

The 10-episode dating series hails from Lighthearted Entertainment, the independently owned production company behind unscripted series including Extreme Makeover, The Moment of Truth, Next, 72 Hours and Are You the One?

Each episode will feature a man and a woman as they each date two different -- and naked -- suitors. The series will explore the art of romance -- free of preconceived notions, stereotypes and, yes, clothing. At the end of every hourlong episode, the two romance-seekers analyze what they've learned from their dates -- and themselves -- before deciding whether to move forward with their potential love matches.

I think VH1 said that since they don't show music videos any more, their ratings have tanked and they have to do something really stupid to get people to find the channel on their TVs again.
How about playing music videos again? :P

Depending on the amount of censorship, this could work.

Nah, the internet's got that covered.
Nah, television needs to have that covered on the few MUSIC channels that don't play any music.

EXCLUSIVE: Secret 'The Voice' contract says NBC can ignore votes and release talent's psych tests on TV — and contestants who reveal details can be sued for up to $1M
The stiff contract protects NBC and the show's producers from possible legal action. But it also creates the potential for faking the production and denies contestants of any say. Contestants can be forced to undergo medical and psychological testing — and have the results revealed on TV.

...
Such contracts are common in reality TV — indeed, similar legalese can be found in a contract for “American Idol” that was leaked online last year. But most viewers will be shocked to learn that producers of “The Voice” can disregard votes, although NBC and the show’s producers strongly deny any manipulation.

They can also disregard contestants. By signing the contract, singers agree to be depicted in a way that “may be disparaging, defamatory, embarrassing (and) may expose me to public ridicule, humiliation or condemnation.”

They even agree to allow producers to “portray me in a false light.”

But beyond merely degrading contestants, the contract gives producers the legal right to not even be fair about it.

“Producer and the network ... shall have the right at any and all times ... to remove or replace me as a participant in the series, for any reason whatsoever, in their sole discretion,” would-be contestants consent by signing the contract.
