I've often been told that I'm a real, down-to-earth woman, because I pay for my own stuff, have my home and don't wear make-up or don't have plastic surgery. What is gentlemen and ladies, according to you personally, a "real" woman and man?

The one who can live by him/herself. Being happy with yourself and succesful by yourself would be the key.

A real man treats everyone else around him with respect and compassion, and has the humility to know that he is not perfect.

A real man is willing to help someone in need, but also has enough time to take care of his own emotions. Someone who is as steady as a rock, but human nonetheless.

A real man is a man who doesn’t worry about what it means to be a “real man.”

Shouldn't all of those things apply to a decent person regardless of their gender?

I'm not a tagger person myself, but i do consider someone "real" when he/she is capable of living by their own in a decent way. What is decent? not messing around with others and not caring about other's lives.

What you’re all describing is just being a decent and capable adult.
Exactly, right?

Gender as anything other than physical anatomy is a construct, you can be the societal norm for your birth gender,, a feminine man, a masculine woman, non-binary, or trans, but there are basic principles that define you as a decent or a shitty human being, as long as you are on the right side of those then all is good.

I am into gender equality. I perceived both as equal as possible.
