Alcohol is a psychoactive drug that has a depressant effect. A high blood alcohol content is usually considered to be legal drunkenness because it reduces attention and slows reaction speed. Alcohol can be addictive, and the state of addiction to alcohol is known as alcoholism.

Should alcohol be given the same illegal status as other drugs? Given that drugs are defined as:

A drug is any chemical you take that affects the way your body works. Alcohol, caffeine, aspirin and nicotine are all drugs.

What are your opinions on this? Should alcohol be made illegal?

Maybe it should be but it won't actually work...

I seem to remember an interesting piece of American history...

Those who don't know history....

I'll have a shot of Wild Turkey and a beer while I go look the rest of that up thank you.

...

But given the way the social do-gooders are trying to run every aspect of our lives, that's probably next.

Alcohol should not be illegal, they should ban certain people from drinking if they are repeat offenders. Such as put a notice on their ID card so when they go to buy alcohol and get carded, the cashier or bartender will know not to serve them.

Excuse me... when you're putting the condenser on the boiler, should the spiral run clockwise or anti-clockwise, or does it make a difference?

That way when they come for my guns and Bible... and cigars... and sugared soft drinks... and gas powered RV... and porn... and fatty food... and whatever else they don't like... I can have my own corn squeezins ready too.

I must agree with you, just people some people abuse it doesn't mean that it should be taken away or punish others.

It should be restricted so it can only be purchased by certain parties, in certain places, taxed half to death, and if you do something stupid with it, you should be busted and face extra charges due to it.

Oh.

It is.

What was the question again?
