Gates has joined the camp of experts like Stephen Hawking and Elon Musk who believe that further development of artificial intelligence could endanger our civilization.

Those are some big names and highly respected people giving the warnings.... can artificial intelligence go to far?

when a lot of us, i mean humans were saying this back years and decades ago, people called them nutty and conspiracy theorists, but now, when "highly respected" people says it then everyone should be worried now...

If it is coming we can't stop it. Better to just prepare for the future and the possible bad things that would come from it. Me I can't wait to see it happen in my life time.

Heh I watched the movie iRobot again the other day.

Their logic will end up being locking us away for our own safety, if their primary directive is to protect and promote the well-being of all mankind. They might end up even exterminating people they feel useless to helping our race survive.
