Is artificial intelligence dangerous or the future?

We've all seen the movies and heard the jokes of robots taking over. Truth is, as time passes, that becomes an actual probability. We don't know where the future is going. Will we ever see flying cars and robot servants? Will we see automated waiters at restaurants? Will we see automated cops? Chances are, in our lifetime, the future is not going to turn out the way we hope it will from movies. As such, for the foreseeable future, we'll be safe from the robot revolution. However, you should still treat your robit friends with respect. You never know when one of them will have an "accident".

As I've stated in another thread similar to this one, artificial intelligence can be a good thing and can also help us in a lot of ways. However, I do believe it is dangerous if we give AI too much power and/or knowledge. I think AI's will create a lot of issues but I do hope we are smart enough to not give AI's too much power
