Everyone's perceptions are different and sometimes people make something seemingly innocent into a bigger issue. Why read into it? The member likes a girl, so they set her as their avatar. People put up avatars of stuff they like all the time.

I think pictures of people, regardless of who they are, is silly unless the picture is something like really humorous or is a character anyways. My avatar is perfect for me
