Groupon were inundated with people who refused to believe this Banana Bunker is not a sex toy

Is there anything worse than taking a banana to work for your lunch, only to find that it’s battered and bruised by the time you arrive?

Well, if you’re a fruit fan who likes your bananas firm and bruise free, the Banana Bunker is the ‘nana protection product for you.

So what exactly is a Banana Bunker? Well, on Groupon it’s marketed as: ‘A hard plastic design protects the soft fruit from getting bruised or crushed… and a collapsible midsection expands and contracts to accommodate larger or smaller specimens.’

Maybe it was the use of the word ‘hard’ and the phrase ‘larger or smaller specimens’ in the same sentence, but when Groupon posted the Banana Bunker on their Facebook page, some followers had trouble accepting that it was as innocent as Groupon claimed.

The companies Facebook page was then inundated with comical queries from ‘confused’ buyers. Here are some of the best questions and responses…

Yes, whoever is in charge of Groupon’s Facebook page deserves an award. Or at least a bunking great big bonus.

Question: Does it look like a sex toy to you?

It kind of does and it kind of doesn't... The bit in the middle, wouldn't that feel really weird or hurt someone? I mean, it just looks like the most ridiculous thing ever invented.(Thread idea!) I do love the Facebook comments, Groupon were on point xD

Looks like a sex toy to me. I'm sure there are plenty of people who are going to try and use it as one. Imagine that thing getting stuck or coming apart? Oh, man, that would make for a funny emergency call.
