What are the good things about banks?

What are the bad things about banks?

Has a bank ever made a mistake with your account / money?

They help you save money.

Good: Keeps my money in an off-site location so I don't have to worry about losing it due to robbery or fire.
Bad: Not much, except for the fee's on things that shouldn't have a fee.
Mistakes: Not my bank but an employer I left accidentally gave me an extra paycheck. I left that money in my account untouched for a few months, eventually they contacted me wanting the money back and I had it there to give back to them.

Well I currently work for a bank. I’m trying to become a financial advisor at the moment. Studying for my SIE certification. Banks are great for keeping your money safe and easily accessible with atms and brick and mortar buildings. The bad thing would have to be the fees. I hate that the people who can afford to pay fees are usually the ones who don’t have to. It makes sense from a business stand point it just sucks. They want to make their high net worth clients happy so they give them a plethora of benefits including waiving all the fees. Such is life I guess..

Banks = Invest your money and that's how they run, but I use Monzo and Starling and keep one bank account with a physical bank called Lloyds.
