How do you go about building strong bonds with your members like a family, or with creating bonds for others? Kinda influenced from my last topic.

I suppose there is no real explanation to it. Some people you just mesh well with and others you wont.

To get to know a specific member a little better: pay attention to what they are posting.. Ask questions about what they said and show interest in what they are talking about. That will show the member that you care and a bond might form just from that.

I suppose to bond with your community as a whole, you need to give off the vibe that you actually care about the forum and want to make it a great place to be.

Often times when I join a forum, I get the feeling that the admin just wants to have a large forum to rule over and couldn't care less about anything else. Members pick up on that vibe and wont stick around for long.

I hope I don't give off that vibe. I really do care about my members and I want them to know that.

Well even the community matters i guess. Even though i pay attention to the new members hardly my 2 forums worked out in my career till now I have to say.

I usually pay attention to everything my members say and I always listen to members suggestions and comments.
