Bullying In School

Worried about going back to school? Worried about school bullying? Intimidation, threats, taunting, violence?



Recently there's been much increased awareness of bullying in schools and whilst it may appear that bullying is on the increase, I suspect there's been little change in the amount of bullying that goes on in school.



Does this happen in your school? Have you ever been a victim of a bully?

I was bullied in my school, I was quiet and different, easy target.



Never got stopped no matter how many times they were suspended/police were called.



Kind of thankful for it in a way, It has made me so much stronger. I don't take s*** from anyone now.

Never been bullied. I did get slapped in the face really hard in school by a girl once. I dont remember what I said..

I was bullied in school all the time, until I reached high school. In my first school I apparently bit one of the bullies on the hand and I got in trouble >.<, I don't even remember doing it. I was the lone wolf in school so I was the outcast that no one gave a rats pitute about, which is probabally why I was bullied.

Actually I found out that one of the kids that was mean to me in middle school died! There was a whole In rememberance thing on facebook And guess who didn't join~

I used to get teased and bullied a few times when I was younger... but because I have excellent social interaction skills, I am able to befriend almost anyone, so that helps to keep the bullying to an absolute minimum. As you get older too, the bullying isn't noticed as much.



When I was bullied I would just brush it off and think to myself that they are jealous of me for some reason. That always kept me in a positive frame of mind and the bullies eventually realized they weren't getting any reaction of any kind from me, so they knew they were wasting their time picking on me.



It's not easy to deal with if you take what they are saying to heart - you can't do that. You need to let it go. They are just words. If its starts to get physical (just a bit of pushing and shoving), tell someone immediately before it escalates. If they begin to throw punches or steal your belongings, tell the police - no matter what you're age is. Assault and theft are criminal acts.

Fortunately, I can say I've never really been bullied. Been messed with, but when it comes down to actually being bullied to the extreme of hating my life because of it, no, doesn't happen because I don't let it happen. Every once in a while you'll have a really big guy you just don't mess with, but for the most part, I'll stand up for myself.
