Bumping really really old topics

Yes, I do. Especially when a member bumps a thread that's been dead for more than two years

As long as they have something to add to the topic, it shouldn't really be a problem. It's when users bump up topics that are as old as the dinosaurs and add a one word reply, thats when it gets annoying :\

lol...my usual hangout, its considered fun to go and dig up old threads that were popular every now and then.........think the oldest one i ever bumped was about 5 years old .......be surprised how they kick off again

I have more of a problem when a new member sees an old thread then makes a new one just because they didn't want to post in a 2 year old thread. Now that is annoying! If a user has something worthwhile to contribute to a thread then go ahead, doesn't matter how old it is.

As long as the thread isn't time sensitive(such as birthdays, post count milestone threads, etc.) then it's perfectly fine to post in an old thread to revive it provided the post is relevant to the topic being discussed. Some people have this obsession for having multiple threads for the same exact topic because somewhere in their mind it looks bad or wrong to post in old threads. I never quite got the logic behind that one.

If it was bumped with relevant information, then I'd probably let it slide the first few times. But most of the time I've seen spammers bumping them, not members.
