Let me just say this: With reference to the attack yesterday, the reality of the world is the following. And I don't say this out of any particular pleasure or excitement, in fact quite the contrary, but it is a fact.

The fact of the matter is this, ladies and gentlemen. The international jihadist movement has declared war. They have declared war on anybody who does not think and act exactly how they would think and act, they have declared war and are executing it on a massive scale, on a whole range of countries with which they are in contact, and they have declared war on any country like ourselves that values freedom openness and tolerance. We may not like this and wish it would go away, but it is not going to go away.

And the reality is we're going to have to confront it, obviously that is what we're doing in concert with our allies, trying to prevent and dealing with the very worst manifestation of this, the jihadist army that is occupying parts of Syria and Iraq. This is going to be unfortunately, the reality of the world we are living in for quite some time. We're just going to have to face that head on and deal with it. That is what our government is committed to do.

FWIW, Stephen Harper's dead-to-rights correct on this....now why can't our leaders here in the 'States acknowledge that?

Those broad sweeping statements are just ridiculous.
There are many in the Middle East, in fact most who want even more help and support from the west to get rid of these lunatics.
It is not Westerners that they are gunning down in mass graves, it is moderate Muslims who do not want their radical ways that they are killing.
Almost all of the 2,000 slaughtered in Nigeria the other day were all Muslims killed by extremists. Nothing at all to do with the West.
I know that you may find it hard believe, but not everything in the world is about America.

That's great from people on this planet who longer have any concept of what actual freedom is anymore. But lousy healthcare with months of waiting and death panels is great including no rights to defend yourself followed by limited free speech that could be called hate crimes it sounds like paradise.
