In one way, he's right; capitalism, over the course of human history, has been the greatest antidote to poverty ever. That said, where do we draw the regulatory line?

Money is not the tool of the moochers, who claim your product by tears, or of the looters, who take it from you by force. Money is made possible only by the men who produce. Is this what you consider evil?

"For the love of money is the root of all of evil..." - Paul was right when he wrote those words to Timothy from his jail cell in Rome in the late mid-1st century AD. Money is just a tool; that's all it is...but the same thing that has lifted up millions over the centuries can also bring untold evil.
The only thing we can (and should do) is ensure that everyone has an equal shot at the brass ring, not that everyone should get it. It also means helping those lesser than us, helping raise them up so that they may sufficient; there is no shame in being honest in saying "I need help."
