Do you think that Captcha's are too hard to read nowadays? I know its to prevent spam bots but its getting a little out of hand. I was trying to register on a forum and I gave up because the captcha was so damn hard to read. After a bunch of times of not getting it right I got locked out and it said to come back later because I exceeded the maximum amount of registration attempts. It was stupid.

I wish instead of captchas, they had two buttons that said yes or no on them, and a question asking if you're human. Thats simpler at least.
Captcha's used to be easy to crack when it came to registering to new forums, but lately they've been pathetic. Like Nebulous said, it's understandable that they're there to prevent spam bots from entering, but on some forums they also seem to prevent innocent forumers (those of us who don't spam and are polite on the boards and what not) from entering as well. It's getting sickening is what it is.

If I did start to get spam I would just use the question/answer method rather than hard captcha
