Car Accident?

I was in one yeah. I dont drive and I was in the back of the car. It wasnt anything nasty, a minor bump, but it shook me up. A friend was driving and I'm not sure who's fault it was.

I think I've been more scared when the car I've been in has come really close to getting in an accident. That's happened a few times and it's never been the driver of the car I was in's fault, there's some idiots on the roads around here. A few weeks ago, I was in the passenger seat of our car, my fiance was driving, we were first in the line of traffic, and someone in a big white van came speeding down the wrong side of the road, head on to us. We avoided an accident but I was really, really scared.

My brother was driving, but I have been in one. It was my brother's fault...got t-boned. Everyone was okay, though.

Ive been in a lot and completely totalled 2 cars.

Most were my fault.

Ive been a safe driver for the past couple years though.

No but but step brother was about 4 weeks ago. It was his fault (He wasn't wearing a seat belt - but that actually saved him) and he'll never be able to walk again (Broke his back in 3 places, also had 2 fractures)

Revolution mate, that sounds terrible, but may I ask how no seatbelt saved his life?

Because the car was squashed, it rolled 3 times and basicly was flattened. If he was wearing his belt (I hope no-one is eating whilst reading this) he would have been squashed or decapitated (So the firemen said)

Although he got thrown around the car like a ragdoll. he landed flat on his back (btw I might add that the car landed on its roof) that was what saved him

Yes I've been on an accident before. We were driving on a highway and it was raining. The road was slippery and my uncle lost control of the car. We hit the side of the road (luckily there was a safety bearer ) or else i would probably be dead as the car would drop 100 metres down.

Fortunately nobody was hurt and no , it wasn't my fault.

I have only nearly had one.

At the beginning of the year we had loads of snow in England. I was coming back from band practise about 11 pm. I came off the roundabout and my car skidded on the ice. I was only doing about 20 mph but I lost complete controll of the car.

Thankfully due to my quick reaction i only hit the curb rather the the rail on the pavement.

Didnt really scare me, actually quite enjoyed the adrenline rush haha.

No accident for me, yet. Almost got in one when I had my temporary permit and was driving. Went into the opposing traffic lane, I was scared.

I've been in two very minor accidents, but they were enough to shake me up. Both were when my dad was driving, and neither was his fault.

I've been in a lot, none of which I've been at fault for, thankfully. The worst was when I was driving with my mom and a guy t-boned our Mercedes tanker sedan. Fortunately, we were in that car because it's an awesome beast, but it still did slam into my door and we spun 180 degrees. I blacked out a few seconds, and was relatively uninjured, although sometimes I wonder if I have residual issues.

only once and it was more the fault of nature than either driver. there were no injuries and neither of us got ticketed, but my car was a total loss.

i was commuting between downtown milwaukee and the truck plaza on I-94 at oak creek on the south side in a 1982 chevy citation in the autumn of 1984. heading home in fairly thick traffic, under a sprinkly rain on a road that was slicker than coon shit from it, i came around a curve and there was a big dodge sedan like the cops use stalled in the right hand lane i was in.

instead of starting to brake immediately, i took a couple of seconds to try to get into the next lane but nobody would let me in. by the time i stood on the brake, it was too late to stop the car on the slick surface and i slammed into his rear end at about fifteen mph. there wasn't even a dent on that guy's car, but my front end had folded up like an accordian and the insurance adjuster totalled it.

the cop refused to write him the ticket for obstructing that i was asking for or me the ticket for rear ending him that he was asking for. shit happens, nobody but my car got hurt and he didn't feel the need to complicate the situation worse.
