Have you ever known anyone who became a casualty of war? How did they serve?
 
My granddad was a gunner on the front line in WW2. He was taken prisoner and got some pretty bad injuries. He had a huge scar on his left arm and he caught a tropical disease which never properly went away and would flare up from time to time.
