My phone has been stolen!

Its my fault though. I went to work this morning and I left my windows rolled down on my car.. I usually always leave the windows down because its hot outside and my car is a old junk pile so nobody would want to steal it anyways. BUT I did leave my cell phone sitting in the cup holder. I didnt even notice it was missing until I checked my pocket and it wasnt there. I figured I left it in the car where I usually put it. I went back to look for it and it was gone. I tried to call it and it was turned off (went straight to voicemail). I am pissed off right now. Im going to the cell phone store at lunch to get another one and have my stolen phone shut off.

WTF! I hope you have called the police and reported this to your cell phone carrier. This happened to a friend of mine and they racked up $450 calling international

Wow, sorry that happened to you, Nebulous, and I hope you get it straightened out soon!

Ok just got back from the cell phone store. (its right down the street)

I got a new phone and they locked my other phone so nobody could ever get it turned back on again. They said if someone tries to activate the phone they will confiscate it and call me.

I got a new phone its an LG.

That sucks, and I bet the person who answered shit themselves when you rang them XD

Glad to hear that. LG is a good make.

Glad to hear you got yourself another phone so quickly.

Wow, that's crazy! I hope they decide to call someone, make sure to keep us updated.

They cant call anyone the phone was disconnected. If they try to take it into the store and have it activated (Saying something like Someone sold me this phone, I want it turned on), it will be confiscated and the police will be called on them.

I hope the scumbag tries to activate it.

Oh, I see now. Yeah, it'll be kewl if she does or he. But you said it was a girl, so I assume it's a girl.

A girl answered the phone. I dont know if she was the one who stole it or not.

I had some dirty texting going on with a girl I know.. Im sure those got read. I feel violated.

Aww shit Nebulous that sucks, I got my school backpack stolen while I was at the dentist this past February. They broke my passenger window and just took the bag. Lost my calclator, Bio notes from the whole year, History notes from the whole year, a textbook etc. Pain in the ass, plus it bugs me that they didn't even benefit from it.

I hope your new phone didn't cost too much, I know buying phones off contract can really be a pain in the wallet.

Damn that sucks, I'm glad you wer able to get another phone and in relation to the whole activation on phones, this is not fool proof as illegally you can just changed the imei number and again this is illegal, but bingo the phone works, they should embed the imei into the phone so it can't be tampered with or changed, does anyone else agree? with this.

I dont have a contract. The phone was $100. I probably made $100 working at that place this morning so I guess I broke even / worked for free.

That's life for you. They'll get what they deserve. Only problem is that if they sell the phone off to someone else and they try to activate it? That'd be a difficult situation, but I'm sure that they could explain to them why they have the phone, and who sold it to them. LG is a good brand. That's what I have, an LG Chocolate Touch.
