In this past week Cenk Uygur of The Young Turks has declared that he is launching a campaign to challenge Biden's position as the Democratic candidate for next year's presidential race. He has been critical of the Democratic party for decades for being an ineffective and weak party that is incapable of effectively delivering meaningful political programmes for their base and wider US society. In this campaign in particular he has been quite opposed to Biden running as going by the polls Biden's chances against a Trump candidate are a lost cause. Another motivation has been his longstanding commitment to get dark money out of politics.
