I prefer black slate chalkboards, but I only know of one.

Now you see "white" boards or those green painted things that pass as chalkboards everywhere.

There's just something about real chalk on a slate "Blackboard" that is satisfying.

Which one do you prefer?

If I was a teacher, I'd want a white board. They write smoother and are easier to clean.

Same here and I use a whiteboard in my home office.

what they all said. i find it easier to read the black on white than the white on black as well.

I prefer whiteboards, or even better smartboards.

With a marker you can write much neater than with chalk

I'm not sure I've even seen a black blackboard, mostly they were just green. These days everything seems to've been replaced by smartboards - which can be handy, but mostly they aren't all that great. Most if not all of the teachers I've spoken to seem to prefer whiteboards to both smart- and blackboards.

I think I'm inclined to agree. Whiteboard markers aren't all that nice, but chalkboards simply don't get clean - whiteboards do.

Blackboards were on their way out as I went through school. Btw I will always call it a blackboard for black is a colour (ok actually a tone) and a descriptor. Fuck you political "correctness".
