"The robot broke the child's finger," Sergey Lazarev, Moscow Chess Federation President, told Tass news agency. "This is of course bad."
A video shared on social media shows the robot taking one of the boy's pieces. The boy then makes his own move, and the robot grabs his finger.
Four adults rush to help the boy, who is eventually freed and ushered away.

Yikes! It wasn't clear if this was due to just bad timing on the kid's part or a technical glitch or what. I doubt the robot was sentient or anything.

Kids fault. The kid tried to move his piece while it was still the robots turn.

Yeah, he didn't wait for the robot to move, he tried to steal the game on time.

I was hoping this was about a robot turning bad and deciding a seven-year-old was an enemy.

I guess the kid has learned a valuable lesson though

Lesson: Don't stick your fingers where they don't belong. lol

You know kids. They like having their fingers slammed into car doors and sticking pennies in electric sockets. They just can't help themselves.

I know it's funny but hopefully, the kid won't be pushed away from chess because of this. Maybe one day the kid will be able to beat the robot
