But still you would keep them in a shed/garden. And also if you paint the spade instead of ditching it, that's a bit stupid, since the paint will flake, and you can find out that the true colour of the spade is and match it to trace paint flakes on the victim. Also, there will be blood underneath the new coat of paint, and dirt. Which again can be matched to trace evidence on the victim

It could be any body of water really! I just used that as an example! And there is a homeless person among your minions! I'm sure of it! And I have never, EVER showered with a homeless person.
