Sorry to say that pills are not the cure. You can't sleep and you take sleeping pills. You're too nervous so you pop some pills. Until you are ready to step up and find out through therapy what's really the problem, you're never going to enjoy life. Sorry if I sound harsh but only YOU can help YOU not some damn pill.

I took sleeping pills and they did work however, they didn't make me tired enough to go to bed because I had only been up for a couple of hours, and I haven't taken nerve pills yet but it's something that I am looking to try. As far as the therapy thing, I think it's stupid not to sound harsh but only YOU can help yourself not some therapist which is why I'm taking action and exploring areas that I can pursue to cope with my problem, I don't think it's something that can simply be solved, I don't think there's a deeper problem, I have potential panic issues as well as numerous other forms of anxiety, I don't see how a therapist would assist me, that's like playing football to try and get rid of a stutter, because it doesn't solve the goal I'm after. I don't mean to come across as cruel but I felt it was kinda necessary with your response.

You yourself don't know for sure if you have a panic disorder or not. You also are not sure there's a deeper problem that needs to be addressed. A therapist can help you find the right answers and medications if necessary. To self medicate is not coping with the problem(s), it's just like putting a bandaide on a dam hole. May I ask when was the last time you had a complete physical including blood work? There are several medical conditions that could be your underlying problem. I'm only responding to you because I care about you. I know we haven't met but I still care. You are a unique person, Orion, and it's time you realized that.

I've always had problems with anxiety and nervousness, there's no reason to believe that there is a deeper message behind it so there is no reason to go looking and I don't respect therapists, nor could I afford them if I wanted them and no, medication is indeed coping. If you have a cold, you don't look for a deeper meaning for said cold, you take some medicine and get rid of it. I don't think it's fair to think that medicine is hiding from a problem or not coping, if it helps me feel better about myself than what's the big deal? I appreciate that you're taking an interest but I don't see it as a heath issue, because I've had it for so long and have had physicals including blood work in at least the last few years so it would have been caught, and I don't believe there is some underlining reason, I think it's just something that I'll have to work around and getting medication to assist yourself isn't something to be ashamed of nor is it the lazy-route, and if it works than WOO!

Didn't mean to upset you and if I did, then I apologize. Good luck and I hope you're able to find medication that helps you.

I'm starving and can't figure out what to have for dinner. Maybe I'll order a large pepperoni and mushroom pizza.

Good evening Off Topix!
