I'm trying to be positive but I don't know how much longer I can be optimistic.

You know what bothers me? Whenever somebody mentions something like Iron Man, or Batman then says that they know about this stuff because they're Nerds or Geeky. The news flash is that Batman and Iron Man are no longer obscure or something only followed by nerds. What next? You're a nerd because you like Call of Duty? So does everybody else, it's actually more than anything common, it's what casual gamers play. It's like saying, I get on the internet because I'm a nerd. Everybody gets on the internet, stop trying to be one of us, because it gives us nerds a bad name whenever people that have never picked up a comic book, and solemnly visit websites besides Twitter and Facebook, try to pass themselves off as nerds. I especially hate whenever somebody claims to be a computer nerd and whenever they post they struggle at spelling the most simple of words, and don't even get me started on computer talk. Sure, I'll throw a Sup, XD, and maybe an occasional LMAO usually only whenever I am talking to somebody on Instant Messenger but I won't lazily shorten my words. But Nick! Some words are really hard to take time out of my day to write so I'd much rather write l8er over later. Cry me a river, even whenever I would text people on my phone, I'd write paragraph upon paragraph with no pointless shortenings. I've earned my Nerd badge and didn't have to have to poke somebody or tweet on my wall or whatever to prove it. lulz



For the record, I'm partially kidding, I like to think of it as a hyperbole of my actual annoyances. Truthfully, I'm just a little bit annoyed with people calling themselves nerds because they like a certain thing even if in retrospect, a majority of people like it. I also don't see the point of abbreviating your text whenever the contrary is merely a come of letters more than the alternative.
