Hello Nebulous!

Hello Nicholas, nice to see you again!

On Thursday, my mom and I drove out to Eastern Illinois University to look at the campus, we also had to pay the application fee and make sure that they got my transcripts because the guidance counselor for my school is a bloody berk. The campus was actually very nice, there were a lot of activities, like a bowling alley in the cafeteria along with a place for billiards, but more than that, it met my qualifications for a metropolitan area that will allow me to navigate fruitfully without a vehicle. (Oh! and a comic-book store!!!)

Anyway, on Friday, I was sent an e-mail from the college saying that I was already accepted in.

They told me that it would take a month before a decision was made, and then, in less than twenty-four hours, they accepted me. Kick-ass!

Wonder news and congratulations!

Thanks! I am trying to get a friend to apply with me so I don't have to be in Charleston all by my lonesome.

...bloody berk?

Berk is another word for "stupid," in the United Kingdom, I used to be on a role-playing website when I was eleven where I played a Brit named William Andrew, and I really liked that as an insult.

You can't insult someone with it of they don't know what you're talking about. :P

I imagine that through context, they can see it doesn't talk about them favorably. :)

I have a job-interview on Thursday, which saddens me, I always hate doing interviews, but I could use the money. Obviously, to help payoff the neck-deep college loans, but also because I want to invest money in advertising a website that I'll be starting in 2015.

I am always kind-of horrendous when it comes to interviews, very nervous, but I think that I have gotten better.

"Hello, and what is your name?"

"Nichaoddfskfksdkl McConagjdjgjjdsfsas."

"Okay, and where are you from?"

"A little place called Odin, you heard of it?"

(That one is funny because it's literally five minutes away from the job that I was applying for, and the reason I said that is entirely because I heard my older brother ask some girl the same question when we were in Champagne. (Three-hours from Odin.)

I've learned that you can be do horribly in an interview and still get the job, if you know someone. A lot of the time, they already have the person they want picked out already and the interview is just a formality. At least that's how it usually works at my job.

I don't know whether I want for that to be true or not. I don't especially want to get a job until I finish high-school in May, but I feel like it'll be beneficial if I have some money for college in August, and having a steady job for the next five months would be really helpful. Dear ol' deadbeat, Dad will have to continue paying me child-support whenever I leave for college, so I'll be getting four-hundred dollars a month, but that's also when I'll HAVE to get a job.

My dad was a deadbeat, absent and out of the picture... and I never got $400 of free money every month. No fair! :P

You receive child-support as long as you are a minor, but you can continue receiving child-support if you go to college. I don't know if that goes for everywhere, but I found out that was the case in Illinois. I assume that my success makes my father very proud.

My mom received a monthly check from the state even though my dad didn't pay child support for years. I think he still is paying it back even though my mom is deceased and I'm almost 30.

As he should have to.

The weather isn't doing anything outside, I wonder if we're finally nearing the end of the long-lasting winter. You never know though, I thought it was over weeks ago. I do believe if I hear anything about a polar-vortex or how "this somehow magically disproves global warming" again, I'll rip my hair out.

Some people say the polar vortex means the dawning of a new ice age and we're all gonna die soon. :P

Global Warming deals more with the idea of erratic weather-patterns, and I do believe that this prolonged winter could suggest a later winter for the following year. I think it'd be interesting if we were all complaining about how hot it is in November.
