So Landlord and lady are back from holiday, I'm into the 4th week off sickness. Just waiting for another knock on my door to ask why I am off. Told her I was going back to work the next day last time, which I lasted 2 days then was off again. Got another 2 weeks after this so I will have to say I have back problem.

Anyway!! Good news!!!

I went to see a physio yesterday, It is what me and my mum suspected. The pain is caused by the curvature of my spine, however because I slouch alot and do stoop over my desk at work I have made the curve worse.
She also said that because I have no core muscles the spine has no support and so my muscles are working triple time - hence the spasms.
My flexibility is very poor, My hips, leg muscles are very stiff.

She has given me. 4 flexibility exercises/stretches, 2 core and 1 posture exercise to do 5 times a day for 15 mins a time.

She said that if I don't change my posture soon, in the next 10 years I will be completely stooped over and won't be able to reverse it. If I work hard now in 6 months I can get healthy and be able to workout in a gym.

No point in going back to work Monday as the physio said I wasn't ready, I need to work on the exercises at build some core up, otherwise I will go back to the same pattern and within a week I will be off again.

I ran work yesterday, my supervisor was very supportive, manager wasn't there. Hopefully by the time I get back I will have a decent chair too and we both said that the standard one - although, apparently it's a special one because it has arms  is no good for my back I need one with a supportive lumbar area. And I know they can get them in the new building we are going to as I used to work there and have seen people with specialist chairs!

I don't know honestly. I am going to Eastern Illinois University which is enough of a metropolitan area that I'll be able to get-by without a vehicle. I will be there for around four to eight years, then afterward, I'll have money saved up, I'll have hopefully built notoriety for my writing, and I'll have the opportunity to move to a larger city, and do whatever it is that I want to do in life. Social-anxiety has always made driving a little tricky for me, and in-theory, those eight years in college will hopefully help me overcome a lot of the problems that I have been having.

What is your major that will take 4 to 8 years to get a degree?

As long as you are paying your bedsitter rent, what business is it of the Landlord why you're off from work?

Glad you were able to see the physio and the cause of your back problem has been found. Hope the exercises will help you. I'm surprised they are not giving you a back brace that would make it impossible for you to slouch over. A lumbar support chair should help you and hopefully your job will be able to get one for you.

Hello everyone!

Another freezing cold day here today. At least the sun is out and the snow has stopped.

I have a back belt but she said that is one of the worst things to wear because it replaces the job the muscles should be doing. I've been told to only wear that if I have to.

Yea, not bad, a little sore from my exercises, just chilling out having a beer now before the last lot of the day before I get into bed.
