I think the dynamic between Magneto and Xavier is the best of the franchise, but I liked Ian as Magneto more than Patrick Stewart as Xavier. He didn't do bad or anything, and some of it is because I like Magneto's character so much. I think he is one of the best characters in the superhero genre. For Brad Dourif, I like him when he's playing a talking killer doll, but he didn't leave too much of an impression on me elsewhere. I think my preference flips in the 'New' trilogy, because the new Charles Xavier was absolutely amazing.

Patrick will forever be known more for Star Trek than X-Men.

Some might argue that he was better in that role, but nobody will argue that Next Generation is more popular than X-Men is, especially after eight movies.

Mostly depends on the age of audience. Older people will prefer him in Star Trek, younger X-Men.

Oh, I'm not disputing preference. You said he's known more for it. He might be better in it, but Patrick Stewart is more known for his role as Charles Xavier. Star Trek: The Next Generation had high reviews from beginning to end, but because it never had the scope that X-Men has been lucky enough to have. X-Men's last film made almost a billion at the box-office, and every other film has made around three-hundred or so million apiece.

I'm not disputing knowledge with another movie fan.
You think what you want, same with me.
Because we both enjoy movies the same.

This isn't really a dispute though. Superhero films are the most popular commodity in the film industry right now. Since then, X-Men continues to become more and more popular. Star Trek was immensely popular, but on a much smaller scope because its fame was mostly television not movies, (aside from the more recent ones, all the others had middling success) especially for The Next Generation. X-Men had the opportunity to have a much larger appeal because of its distribution enabling it to be overseas and seen by more individuals. And as every other superhero film becomes more popular, the DVD sales go up for older X-Men movies as well. The older Star Trek movies only made 100-200 million when they were released, because they have a more secluded audience that didn't include a huge mainstream following.

It's like saying Johnny Depp will be always known most for Edward Scissorhands when he's in-fact known for being Jack Sparrow. See what I'm trying to say? It doesn't mean anything on the quality of his performance, but it's a by-the-numbers, statistical sort-of comparison.

---

Speaking of Star Trek, I bought the Star Trek video-game for the PlayStation 3, and I have to say that I can see why a lot don't like it. There's a lot of glitches and nuisances, but so far, I can at least say it's playable. The guy that's directed Fast Six, and a few others from the Fast and Furious series will be directing the Star Trek 3 film.
