I do, yeah. Rumors are the head honcho wants to change everyone to 5 eight hour shifts due to staffing issues, even though he's the reason for them.![]()
Hope this next year is the best one yet!
Do you work like four 10-hour shifts? I wish I could have that schedule.

I did an interview yesterday for what I THOUGHT WAS for a receptionist at basically a retirement home, skilled nursing, etc type place. I admit I applied to dishwasher, housekeeper, etc. She could have said "hey, this is for the dishwasher role" over the phone and I could have ended up saying no over the phone.
I decided ok I'll go, and just got some sus vibes from the first manager who interviewed me which was the woman who called me. I am unsure how to explain this exactly... Second interviewer/manager was fine. My job coach was my support and she couldn't sit in during the interview or anything buuut oh well. I honestly lost all interest after she said it was for dishwasher but the second interviewing manager was way cooler IMO.
Second manager spoke and introduced himself to my job coach at least. Got her info, so he has her number and email. I will find out next week if I get this dishwasher job or not, but it is sounding very likely. I kinda sorta am unsure especially if that first manager who interviewed me is gonna be one of the bosses.
So a bit of a shrug moment.
We all want to keep our current shifts.Would you be up for that or do you want to keep your current shifts?
Hi there. How are you?Hello @Monica
I have applied at like local places such as restaurants. I also have applied to more chain stuff like Steak n Shake, etc. I honestly am still on the fence about if I'll accept this job or not. I may just stick to retail stuff too. The good part about this dishwashing job is I likely wouldn't be interacting with the residents much if at all. Still yeah, heard that from people about working at these sorta places or volunteering. Speaking of volunteer, I maybe volunteering to get some skills/training as a receptionist/front office admin too.I volunteered at a Retirement home in high school for a little bit. It was originally for a school project but I stayed on for a while after. It was so sad because you'd get attached to the residents and then they would die. There was always an ambulance outside carting someone away.
Where else have you been applying @Kale ?
