Well Im off for a while. Going to go sit in my daughters little pool (its like 8 feet around and 2 feet high) while she swims

Good evening, Off Topix!

Well, where do I start?

In the space of a week, we've gone from having Robbie, to not having him.. Yesterday we made the choice to give him back after a week of having him. It was a hard choice to make, but one that had to be done.

It seems that whilst he was in our care, he was begining to cause me some difficulty in my breathing.

I was taken into hospital to be told I was to now have an inhaler for if my chest was to ever become tight again.. In the end, we've had to sacrifice him for my health. His long coat wasn't helping my situation.

And so, within the last 24 hours, we've decided on a short haired dog like our Busco.. His names Bandit and he's a Lurcher.

We think he's a greyhound cross collie.

I'm sorry for you and I'm sorry for Robbie as well. Is this an allergy that just happened or have you always had such a reaction to long haired animals (cats included)?

Morning. And yes, as you can tell by my last post. I am still annoyed with the little old lady. And my eyes are protesting. So, I'm gonna go shut em. Night!

Unfortunately the customer is always right. Sorry you're annoyed but you could have just swept around her or waited until she was done
wink.gif
Good night Sci and talk to you soon.

Well I could have waited yes, but then she probably would have gotten annoyed about me just standing there. And that was a bit of a narrow area to sweep around. And yeah, turning around for some reason hadn't occurred to me.

Its an allergy that's just happened, I've always had long haired dogs from a young age, I guess my body has changed since then. It was a hard thing to do, believe me, but it had to be done. I know I've done the right thing and I know he'll find a home. He just was't ment for us.

I do feel bad about it, but it was either do it now or grow to attached to him and never give him back and for me to get worse..

Really sucks though.

I'm sure he will, he's a sweet boy.

I'm sure he'll snap out of the mouthing soon enough. He's best with being the only dog in the home though as he was a bit to rough with our dog and hurt her a few times.

You did what you had to do Besotted for your own health. Robbie is a beautiful dog and I'm sure he'll find another good home soon. Things happen for a reason, babe, and like you said he just wasn't meant for you. Don't beat yourself up over as you did the right thing

I knew when we took him back we were doing the right thing. I'm a lot better with our new dog Bandit. I managed to get some sleep last night.

Woo hoo!! Not been able to the last 2/3 days with my chest being bad.

Ohh. Basically he was trying to assert his dominance then? Well I got work, later folks!

I don't know what he was trying to do, but he hurt her a few times and had her growling a him to leave her alone..
