Do you tend to go see new movies at the movie theater or do you usually wait for them to come out on DVD?

Gotta love that huge screen though. Makes the whole movie watching experience more... immersive?

I avoid movie theaters like the plague. I hate the crowds, the noise, the invariable assholes, the freezing cold temps, having people directly behind me that I can't see, idiots who don't turn off their phones, sticky floors, exorbitant prices, and so on. I don't care how good I think the movie will be, I always wait for the DVD. You couldn't get me into a movie theater for any reason.

!!!! EXACTLY !!!!

I was trying to get my grandma to go to the movies the other day and she said no. I told her I'd come pick her up and pay for the movie but she didn't want to. Oh well :dontknow:

How long has it been since you have been in a movie theater?

Awwww, how sweet! That's so nice that you do stuff with your Grandma, Nebulous.

I'll bet she'll want to go out to a restaurant instead. I should take her to this place by my house that's open during breakfast/lunch hours. Country cooking and amazing food.

I usually wait until DVD. I don't like sitting on my ass in a dark room for two hours in the theater. At least on DVD I can be doing stuff around the apartment. Ironically I live not but 20 feet from a movie theater - literally.

Every year, I usually make it to the theater about 20-30 times. It's one of my favorite things to do, in-fact, it's my "main" personal outing above all else. I don't buy popcorn, drinks, and I often head to an early showing so I only have to pay four or five bucks. Yesterday, I went to see The Purge: Anarchy, a week earlier, I saw Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. On Friday, I'll be seeing Lucy. Next week, it's Guardians of the Galaxy, followed by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

If there is a movie coming out which I am looking forward to watching, I tend to watch it in the cinema. Simply because it's better viewing.

Usually watch on laptop lol

Same here and for the same reasons.

Depends on the film, most of the time I wait for the DVD as it's cheaper, although I do have an odeon card which comes in quite handy. There are a few films that I would like to see in the cinema at the moment.

I wait for the movie to be broadcasted on tv :P A true dutchman speaking, we like it cheap lol.

I enjoy going to the cinema. I do not enough the cost. There are too many distinctions at home so I won't fully concentrate on enjoying the film.

I took my wife to see Les Miserables during a weekday matinee when it came out... ahh, lets see, almost two years ago.

Before that, I was probably at least two or three years since we'd gone to another one.
