Classic Rock vs New Rock

I find that impossible to answer. Some new rock is excellent, while some is awful... and some Classic Rock is excellent, while some is awful. It all comes down to the individual bands.

I like classic rock better. Most of the new rock sounds like a bunch of noise but some is really good.

Classic rock, definitely. Mostly, 20st century music > 21st century music. There are some decent bands with some decent songs, but in the end classic rock is better. They are remembered decades after they have split up; they were influential, innovative. Well you have crappy classic rock bands too, but just speaking generally from what I listen to.

Yes, many Classic Rock bands are remembered decades after their last album, but time will tell if today's bands will be the remembered too. Which is likely... every generation has their own heroes.

Also, comparing Classic Rock to modern rock is a bit bizarre for me. As I mentioned earlier, bands from both eras were/are a mixture of good and bad and there are many bands playing many different styles and sub-genres of music that fit into either of those two categories.
