Sorry, I didn't mean to make it sound as though thinking everyone is beneath me becomes second nature. The confidence is what becomes second nature and it's a fantastic feeling knowing that you have achieved something so valuable that you can only achieve by yourself.

Also like I said, if you really were a confident person and secure with yourself, you wouldnt have to compare yourself to others.

I don't see how it matters how one develops confidence, as long as they do so without harming anyone else in the process. So if that means thinking you're better than others to help grow your morale, then so be it.

I was talking about how I used to be. I used to be insecure until I developed a new mentality. I don't literally think I'm better then everyone I just tell myself that to make myself more confident when I go to talk to others. Why don't you understand that? I feel like I keep repeating myself over and over. I am always telling myself what makes this person better then me. Stop putting them on a pedistule(sp?) Eric! (That's me by the way. I'm talking to myself) BTW, this works very effectively with girls whenever you're nervous lmao. I am not insecure nor am I arrogant I just think like that in the present moment.

Well one of my biggest turn offs when meeting people are those who think they are better than me or better than others. I like a genuine person who knows who they are and doesnt need to compare themselves to others in order to make themselves feel better about themselves.

That's what I'm saying it's more like the approach is cocky, but when I start talking it's the real me. I don't fake conversations. If I say something I mean it. It's me.

So you're saying I'm arrogant because I'm shy and thinking like that has been the only way I have found to get around that. Well, then I don't know anyone who isn't arrogant. Face it who goes around life thinking they're the same as everyone else. No one. When you get in an argument and the other person doesn't agree with you so you feel superior. That means you're arrogant... Well, then everyone's arrogant. Just because a person come off as arrogant at times doesn't mean they should be labeled as an arrogant person. And if that's the case then everyone's arrogant.



An arrogant person to me is someone who thinks they're better then everyone all the time not just in certain situations. Yeah I'm arrogant when I approach someone I guess, but then I'm me when I start talking. Making assumptions just limit your life. Really. And so do judgments.

Bravo, you are very convincing I don't like your methods but I can't appreciate them, not saying I agree with you but you still put on an entertaining debate. I'd say that I am quite paranoid and rather shy but I have reasons to be I was picked on for a great portion of my childhood, I don't think I am better than anyone, I think we are all equal but we choose different paths. If it helps you stay confident than hell yes stick with that idea.
