Grew up with both.
Do you think growing up with both parents helped you become more well rounded people?
Two parents = two paychecks = more food = eating more and better = well rounded around the waist person.
Not here, poor people are fat because unhealthy food is cheap. People with more money can afford to eat healthy and be fit.

They taught me respect but they were too strict.

Yes but I should have been more rebellious.
What would you have done differently?
Yes I was lucky, I grew up with both of my parents; they celebrate 36 years married next February.
