I suppose you wanted to hear about the difference between being alive and living your life, though.
Simply being is stasis. Stasis is death.

Living means taking chances. Living is making mistakes and learning from the mistakes and moving on. Existing means waking up in the morning and going to school/college/office and doing our work and come back to the home and waiting for another day to come. This is the difference between living and existing.
