Do you like kids?

I love kids but I couldn't eat a whole one!

Some kids are annoying, but i do enjoy spending time with kids. As long as parents can control them i am happy.

(Durandal warns his friends Hansel and Gretel to steer clear of Rapunzel)

...kids are fine - they require patience and just in general, time.

They're good when they behave but when they don't they can be annoying, especially when they swear. Heck one time a little kid called me a w**ker. I swear I'm not kidding

Why would we think you are kidding? They say Fukk off you fukking bittch at our school, amongst other delightful names.

W**ker is mild by comparison. Oh, how old are they? About 5 or 6+.

Get out of my way before I kill you is another good one.

Love kids! They're just so adorable....

Nahh, they're just annoying to me. I doubt I'd be able to handle them.

So you never want to have children of your own one day?

At age FIVE OR SIX!?!!? I would've earned a one-way trip to the guillotine from Papa Bear for that one...wow. Where do kids learn that sort of language that young? Is that a school or a juvenile detention facility?

Only if they aren't annoying me

Maybe one day I'll think different about it, but as it stands right now, probably not.

Sometimes kids don't need to be planned, they can be a surprise!

Cranos's girlfriend: I have something I need to tell you....

That's because you were brought up in a society where you were taught to respect adults, even if you didn't agree with them.

Here the majority of parents have no respect for anyone, so children are taught not to respect others. They're taught that fist fights and foul language get them what they want.

The schools behaviour policy says that we cannot say 'No' to a child, cannot shake a finger, talk down to or otherwise tell off a child. You can tick their books but not cross them. Red pen is negative and cannot be used. If one child is being rude or naughty you must simply ask Should you be doing that? (They reply Yes. F*ck off!)

The Head says the behaviour policy is working well. The staff say that it is crap. Children have no restraints, no respect. They grow up never hearing the word 'No'. So they will grow to adulthood, indulging themselves in all manner of bad behaviour until one day they turn 18 and then wonder why they've been arrested and then sent down to serve a term at Her Majesty's pleasure!

It is good to have children's Rights. However they need to learn Respect also and respect that other people have Rights too. A good education is the solution imo but it is impossible to deliver a good education when you have kids kicking off every five minutes and disrupting the whole class. Grrr!

Wow? Really? ...well, us Yanks might be 'idiots', but we have our manners! We'll make good butlers one day! That's kind of funny, because I remember in school - in class we were studying grammar (I think - this was over a decade ago, the cylindres aren't firing as good as they used to + I studied grammar/language in two different countries lol) and one of the segments we had to read was about your royal family and a quote that said something like, In America, children rule their parents instead of the other way around. (that's grossly paraphrased), but it was an interesting assessment of what others thought about us. I wish I could remember the quote better (I think it was in '79 the quote was made...)...but it seemed to imply children over there were better in line than those over here.

Ah, well perhaps it's all about the 'green' here that keeps some of us in line - as discussed in another thread; there's a lot of suing that goes on, and fist-fights can even get a little kid arrested.

What is the justifications for such a policy? Seems to defy logic. I guess intervention is the biggest difference-maker.

Well - at least it hasn't turned into this:
