I used to play the lottery and buy scratch cards years back but to be honest, after so many times I didn't win anything and just thought I was so unlucky I stopped buying them and haven't looked back since. The chances of winning are not as great as they used to be and it doesn't warrant me to keep buying them when I could save the money and be better off.

Yeah it sure does seem like there used to be more winners in scratchers.

My boss gave me a huge pile of scratchers for christmas and none of them were winners.

My family gave my girlfriend and I some scratchers and we won 80 dollars between ourselves. Not bad. Too bad I can't get a hit off of a lottery ticket.

I hear you. I've known people who've been playing for decades and they've never hit the jack pot. I often wonder how much money they've spent chasing that dream.

When my mom was married to her second husband, she would play the lottery like crazy. He was "rich" as a specialist provider, so it didn't take much of a dent out of their finances, but I wouldn't be surprised if she spent thousands of dollars playing the lottery over ten-ish years.

I recently won $4 dollars from a Mega Millions ticket. Too bad it wasn't $4 Million. I would have loved that.
