Do you think that Budweiser will survive the boycott caused by the controversy? Why or why not?

Bud Light has suffered a “staggering” sales hit following the beer brand’s controversial marketing tie-up with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney — with the latest data showing an alarming 17% drop, according to an industry research firm.

The latest sales data from NielsenIQ and Bump Williams Consulting shows that Bud Light sales fell 17% in dollars, while volume dropped a whopping 21% in the week ended April 15.

That’s sharply ahead of the 6% drop in sales dollars and 11% drop in volume that Bud Light had suffered during the week ended April 8 — the seven days that immediately followed the April 1 launch of the controversial Mulvaney campaign on social media.

“These numbers are staggering,” according to an April 23 report from Insights Express, a beer-focused newsletter. “Right now this is an extremely difficult scenario for Anheuser Busch, the Bud Light brand and for AB distributors.”

I think this is one of the most ridiculous things in the world and yes, they will "recover". People like alcohol. Budweiser sells alcohol. It'll be fine.

Yeah, they'll probably recover.

That said, people have long memories and InBev (Bud Light's parent company) should've known better than what they did; as polarized as America is right now, they stepped on the cultural third rail with both feet.

They will be fine,
Cancel culture isn't that big or widespread.

People forget and also jump onto new things way too quickly nowadays, so they will be okay.

Like most boycotts, people will forget in due time. It's stupid to be boycotting the beer in the first place IMO, there's other things people should be upset about. Plus Bud Light has always tasted nasty anyways. xD

Of course they will survive. Nobody stays mad at any one thing for long these days.
