Should door to door selling and/or advertising be allowed or illegal?

To be honest, I believe it should be illegal to go door to door with a business trying to sell a product or advertise it to you. I do not care if you're advertising it to me at a gas station or at the mall, but on my own private property? We have several people come to us a week trying to sell us stuff. One guy would not take no for an answer. The doorbell rang, I answered it, they asked if my parents were home, I couldn't say no because my dad was right there, so I said yes and got him. He went out there and the guy was selling some cleaning stuff, and my dad told him my mom is a professional cleaner, indeed she is, and that he is not interested, but thanked the guy for his time. The salesman then told my dad that he could not take rejection, and that is when my dad just came inside and shut the door.

I do not mind fundraisers and stuff, but salesmen shouldn't be that pushy.

I absolutely hate door to door salesman, although we don't get many in the state where i reside. Although I also hate those guys who come to your house at like 6 am with their bow ties and white shirts trying to get you to come to their church!!!! SHUT UP! GAAAHHH ITS 6 AM GO HOME!

All we get is door to door people asking me to convert to their religion.

I always draw a pentagram on my forehead before I answer the door.. Then I keep a totally straight face while talking to them.

Well not always, but I have a couple times..

It's annoying. We don't get it here much though. Except with chocolate and sponsoring them to read them a book.

This girl selling encyclopedias got killed by Jerry Brudos, shoe fetishist. It's dangerous, you see.

I find it a pain in the arse when salesmen come knocking on your door every week. But the main pain in people from some Church's saying, Convert to our religion And shite like that. It should be banned.

It's definitely annoying, especially because they're on your own private property. It's extra annoying when they keep ringing the doorbell if you don't want to answer the door (they see your lights on or something.) It's our home, we don't NEED to answer the door for you!!

Anyways, if their Religion is so great, why do they need door-to-door people telling me that..?

I live 15 minutes away from town, but I still get Jehovah's every once in a while. I tell them about the great religion of plain theism.

I remember when I was at my friends house one time and we were lounging and these two Jehovah's guys come up to the door looking like they were 16 year old Bel'Ami boys with white shirts and ties...

My two friends who shared the home, got up and answered the door, one of them all up on the other acting like he was kissin his neck and stuff!

That's one way to get rid of them quick!!!! LOL
