I hope this hasn't been posted before.

Well I'll be completely honest, I can't really drive at all XD at age 18. I've took drivers Ed in my earlier HS years, but yet fail to get better. I'd like to know how some of you learned whether by family or just watching others ? It's sad to say I have a car but can't use it as I'd like to.

Well. My brothers and sisters have mini toy care that I should just be able to fit inside, does that count?

I've been driving for 13+ years.

Been driving 8 years. Used to love it, Now I hate it.
Don't know if my judgement has got worse or if there are more aweful drivers on the road but I really don't like driving anymore. Actually got ran off the road the other day!! Not the first time it's happened.

I took Driver ED in school and then studied for my Learners Permit. After getting my Learners Permit, my Dad taught me how to drive. When I thought I was ready, I took a written test and then a road test. Was happy I passed the first time. Been driving ever since.

I've been driving since 1975, I don't remember how I learned. However, I do know that if you don't drive at least once in awhile, you do forget some of the basic things that you need to do.

And FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, when you do drive, PAY ATTENTION to what you're doing, and what your car is doing!

Over the years, I've had all sorts of vehicle operator licenses, except HazMat endorsed CDL, and I did study for that test, just never took it.

Right now I have Illinois class A and B. And I might get the class C so I can drive the church's van legally.

How big is the van? I would think you would need a regular license for that. :|

I would assume because the church van is being used to transport passengers:
Class C: Commercial vehicle that doesn't fit classes A or B, but is placarded for hazardous materials or is intended to carry more than 15 persons (excluding Georgia.) May include heavy-duty non-commercial vehicles with trailers capable of carrying over 16,000 lb, and all vehicles that can carry over 16,000 lb but not more than 25,999 lb.

I think it is either 12 or 15 passenger.

But I'm accustomed to driving oversize vehicles (25 foot straight trucks, 35 ft motor home, etc) so it isn't brand new to me.

Is it just a Class C or do you need a Class C with passenger endorsement?

Were you always good at driving huge vehicles?
I think that would make me nervous. Driving that huge moving truck I rented last time I moved was kind of nerve racking.

Learnt to drive our Mazda Bongo yesterday, First time driving an automatic! Was awesome.

I learned from my mother and my stepdad and from my instructor. I took a written test and a road test. I have my drivers licence for like 2 months.

My mother is such a dumb bitch for not letting me drive.

What's her reason for not letting you drive?

"You must not get angry at all," she said.

WTF?! Everybody gets angry most of the time and they drive.

I don't really think anyone can never get angry. It's the degree of anger that varies. Some people get angry and do nothing. Others get angry and get violent (physically and verbally). Unless you get violent when you're angry, I don't agree with what your mother said. Do you get violent when you're angry?

Road rage is all part of the fun! Hahaha. just joking!

I don't understand how this is possible when you are an adult and can easily go out and get a license yourself without anyone's permission.
