Even though I've been at uni for a semester I haven't really cooked a great deal. So in an effort to expand my culinary skills, I would like to ask:

What easy recipes do you guys and gals recommend? Preferably reasonably healthy please

There's a crazy website out there for people in such a situation, but I can't remember it - you might be able to Google it...it's kinda' funny, too, because they even have some pretty interesting takes on Ramen.

Getting some decent wholesale meat from a butcher, or grocer, but from a tougher part of the animal (say, in this case, beef). Using slow-cooker recipes, you can do a lot with a big chunk of meat and have it taste decently, too.

Pasta tends to also be pretty easy to deal with and usually cheap, too. Potatoes and rice are good staples, too. The best part is all that I've mentioned so far can mix together pretty well in some combination or another and they all are decent enough for your health.

You're very welcome. Have you found anything that you might want to try?

I might try some of the pasta dishes, and some of the sandwich's (wouldn't have thought of half of the combinations that they had XD )

Yeah, I know! Using TWO slices of bread really makes all the difference!
