Election 14

Walker might make the jump. It's been done before, a no-name "young stud" comes on the scene and makes it big.

And then destroys his party.

Sure.

Have you checked the numbers in NC or VA lately?

Not as close as it was, seriously leaning right down to single digit percentage of precincts left to count.

Warner leads by less than 10k in votes (VA)
Tillis leads by about 50k in votes (NC)

The wheels just came off Maryland's governor's race for Mr. O's darling boy, losing to some old line republican hack.

Hogan is so crooked he has to put his underwear on with a socket wrench.

Wait...Maryland voted for a Republican, for governor?!? :faint::faint::faint:

Shock: Illinois turfed out a Democratic governor.
2016 is going to be so f'n interesting....:ohmy:

Not yet, there's still a few graveyards in Chicago that haven't voted. They usually wait to see how many votes they need to win.

The old Mayor Daley Democratic Machine may be creaky, but it still knows how to stuff a ballot box.

Unless they've got extra ballots at the ready, that ain't likely to happen, my friend. This might be a night where the exorcists finally succeeded in keeping the dead dead and not letting them get in the election booth....:faint:

Hagan's gonna' lose that race, Doc....going by my count, there ain't enough votes left for her to get by.

You shouldn't have voted for Snoopy.

Oh, well...you win some, you lose some.
BTW, the hog castration lady in Iowa just won the Senate race there; Republicans will control the Senate in the next Congress.....and somewhere, Liberty is doing somersaults; it wuldn't surprise me if he was. :faint:

Virginia is still damned close.

That one will go to recount.

In the final analysis, this was a wave election...and we Democrats got swamped. Harry Reid is toast come Jan. 2015 as Democratic leader.

...saw this over on Twitter....

But what is unusual is the size of the 'wave'. And there is no national coattails for any of them to ride. There was no Reagan or Obama to carry a marginal candidate in.

In other news:

Several networks are calling Illinois for the challenger.

Meaning the Dems split the top of the state's ticket.

That hopeless old scumwad Durbin won his seat back, but the second fiddle to the Dem governor that ended up in Federal prison for trying to sell Obama's senate seat goes home.

No, there was a wave...its' just no one saw it until tonight. What killed the Dems' in all those Senate races? Harry Reid refusing to move anything in order to protect incumbents, which in turn, made them look like Obama synchophants...did it help them tonight? Hell no, it didn't help; it swamped them.

Even though he's said he wants to be Democratic Leader come Jan.2015, I suspect there very well could be a challenge to him...and he's up for re-election come 2016; with this election, he's got the potential to become damaged goods.

BTW, Mark Warner held on to win in Virginia...small consolation, but still.

VA is going to be decided in the recount. That margin isn't safe.

And, when do they count the absentees and all that?

Well, so much for the news calling it for Warner; they must've went back and changed it afterward. *reads question* In most states, the recount won't begin until every absentee ballot has been received and counted. Once that is done, then the elections board will go back and count all the votes; if their count matches the initial count and the lead hasn't changed or if it hasn't narrowed, then they'll call it at that point.

Just before polls began to close in some eastern states, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi appeared before reporters at the Democratic Party’s Washington headquarters. “It’s a difficult night,” she said glumly. “We can’t predict what will happen.”

She ain't whistling Dixie there, Doc...and I suspect somewhere, our good friend Liberty is cracking open a few bottles of top-shelf whiskey (or whatever beverage he prefers) as the results continue to come in...

Dont drink any alcohol except the occasional beer. :) But I am bit happy just for the fact bills can now be sent directly to obama so the public can see him veto them every time like repealing obama care. Or balancing a budget and begin spending less then we take in. Thats if these republicans have the balls to do it.

And that, my friend, is the largest 'if' ever said.
