Understandable, I have one central mail account and then a few that I never check but setup for specific purposes, streaming services, one time forum usage, etc.
Mine are Hotmail, Yahoo & Gmail.
I still use

Mail.com (2009)
Protonmail (2019)
I Got rid of all of my Google since 2019 , Wish I never had it in the 1st place

Why? Gmail is decent (in my opinion)
Google have a horrible privacy track record, very iffy to trust them (I say, as I sit here with a YouTube account and a gmail account...)

They're just skimming your emails for keywords to show you relevant ads. No biggie.
Yep, agreed, more of that wonderful advertising.
