Ever been forced?

Have you ever been forced to do something at work that you felt was seriously not right? I remember about a year ago, my main boss made me buy some shaving cream and a razor, and then head into the restroom to shave. It was basically done so he'd look good in front of his own bosses. I also think it was an abuse of his own 'power' to make me do something like that.



But yeah, have any of you ever been forced into doing something at your job that just wasn't right?

Hmmm, well I suppose I haven't. I work for a school district so there are pretty ethical people there.

All the time lol....but I am in the Navy sooo I really don't get a choice as to have feelings either! lol

My ex worked in a field that required them to be clean shaven because of the masks they had to put on from time to time. If you aren't in a similar field and you don't heve a dress code requiring it, it was out of line, IMO.

While we have to wear matching clothes. I don't think there is anything about being clean shaven as a necessary thing.

But what your boss did was stupid.

Indeed. Some seem to think he only really cares about looking good for his bosses more then for his own employees. Which I'm starting to see some truth in.

i would have said 'im growing a beard and if you dont like it then tough, its my personal choice'

i doubt theres a rule about having a beard and theres an 'inbetween' bit from clean shaven to beard lol
