Have you ever been blamed & punished for acts someone else committed?

If yes, what were those things?

Yes.

Well, they tried.

I was the only straight, white, male, that worked over one holiday weekend, and somebody complained that several urgent phone calls weren't answered. So one of the younger group that was there said I was supposed to be the lead when the calls came in and I didn't pick it up.

They didn't realize that the PBX system not only tracked incoming calls, it tracked who was on what call, and for how long.

When the sequence of calls came in, I happened to be on a call with the primary service vendor operations center (verizon in King of Prussia, PA) and could prove it.

The one that pointed his finger at me didn't like having to explain himself after that.

Yes, main culprit is school. Never knew there was a word for that.
