All you ever do more then regular posting on your forum is bot and spam removal?

Well it depends on wether or not you have the problem or not. Here spam is scarce so its not really an issue but if it did start happening, I'd have to install some new modifications and take other measures to prevent them from getting through.

Aye, I did take on some modifications awhile back. But it might be time to update them.

You know, I was just about to make a thread on this subject. My forum doesn't get much spam or spambots signing up but it did happen today though. I thought that CAPTHA thing at the registration page would prevent spambots but, apparently not. No forum is safe from spambots or spam :\

When I was a moderator on another forum, that's all we did almost every day. It was unbelieve the amount of spam we had to clean up. Finally the Admin did something (not sure what) and it cut down the amount but only by half. Glad Off Topix doesn't have this problem very often.

Zetaboard's(my board's host) protection against spam bots is rather effective as I seen almost nothing from them and I somehow suspect what I do find is actually being done by people which no one can stop.

I'm a staff member of a forum hosted by Proboards and their protection seems very good too.

My forum is hosted on ZetaBoards too and I've gotten a few spambots infiltrating to it. I just hope it doesn't happen to me again

Never really had mega problems with such things. These days these spammers are real humans and can get around bot preventions.
