Fav book of the Bible?

What is your favorite book of the Bible, and why?
As far as individual books go, two come to mind immediately....
(1) The First Epistle of John (1st John) -- this book serves as a guide to strengthening one's faith in Christ, allowing us to understand why such an immortal soul such as the Son of God would come down to Earth, live as a mortal in the midst of sinners and take on the sins of the world in our stead
(2) Ecclesiastes -- when we are born, as mortal beings, we are bound to die. Thus, we must ask ourselves, what is the meaning of life if everything eventually turns to dust**
** - this question is best summarized in Ecc. 9:11, KJV..."I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all."

In terms of a grouping, the Four Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke & John) are a perfect encapsulation of Jesus Christ; each talks about Him in slightly different ways....
(1) Matthew - written by a Jewish publican (a/k/a "tax collector"), for the Jewish population of Roman Judea on the subject of Jesus Christ, tying Old Testament scripture with Jesus' words and deeds
(2) Mark - written by a Roman Greek for the Romans, describing the miracles of Jesus and describing Him as a teacher, miracle worker and evangelist
(3) Luke - written by a Greek physician for the Gentile (non-Jewish) population, emphasizing the kindness & charity of Christ; it is the most in-depth look at Jesus' life and ministry
(4) John - written by one of the original Twelve Apostles (the Apostle John, who also wrote the Book of Revelation) for the early Christian church detailing the divinity of Jesus as the Son of God

I just finished WRITING an In Depth, Long Term, study of Revelation, complete with feature focus study essays, and with extensive outside references and sources.

As I worked through it, I presented it to our Church's Tuesday Bible Study, which includes our current pastor, and a retired pastor, as well as an elder, and another deacon..... they all enjoyed it and said they were amazed at the level of research I could throw at it, including finding stuff in everything from the Book of Enoch to Justinian's history, from the Egyptian Book of the Dead to the Epic of Gilgamesh.

And Then, I turned them all into HTML and posted them on the church website for anybody to sort through, for free.

And Then To Prove I am a glutton for punishment. Right now, I am doing the same thing for the least read and least understood books of the Bible, The Book of the Twelve, also known as.... The Minor Prophets.

Not only were they Poetry. It is Ancient Hebrew Poetry. And then... Apocalyptic Ancient Hebrew Poetry on top of it.

Just finished Hosea, am into chapter 2 of Joel with the prep work.

I've already been through the Ba'al Cycle, the Book of Jubilees, and am also poking around in Jewish Graves for Sheol... no I'm not kidding.

They've also added another study group for this one, so I do the material on Tuesday morning and then again on Wednesday night, with a different group of people

So... my favorite book... is probably in the Apocrypha.
