What was the first forum you joined?

For me it was some Sonic fan forum I don't go to anymore back in late 2008

The very first forum I joined was the GMS (Game Maker Showcase) on 4th July 2004. Of course, I don't go on that anymore as it became defunct since 2007.

The first forum I ever joined was a free sample forum. I used to get all kinds of free samples and thought my mail person was going to kill me! It was fun trying new products before I bought them. Unfortunately, the owner of the site got ill and it closed.

joined my first forum over 5 years ago..................at its peak it was hitting 4000 members and guests at any one time.............had big probs a few weeks ago due to some probs...........the owner decided to close............but he has started another smaller simpler one only a week ago....gone back to basics, lots of the old crew have returned...cos it has not got a lot of the features of the old site a splinter forum has started by an ex member which is basically a clone...lots of people 'crossover' from one to the other but i like the small and clean feel of the new one

A toy company had a message board for the toys and such and I really loved it! There were a lot of issues, but eventually I became a moderator. It ended up closing down later on due to management issues (the company didn't have anyone interested in continuing to manage to board from the way I see it).

A gaming clan forum, inspired me into administration and in creating my very first bulletin board. I actually thank that forum for bringing me to where I am now.

M_A_M it was called. It was a small general chat forum on invisionfree years ago. There were only like 7 active people, but they were great.

Mine was gametalk.com it was truly a unique community, but since went under because of personal hardships for the owner! It was one of a kind

I believe for me it was an RP site called Creature Lands back in like 2004 or something in that area.

It was a wonderful place to be apart of and I met many great people from this forum who I'm still friends with till this day. If it wasn't for this site, I probably wouldn't have ever gotten the idea to make my own forum. I bled over to this place after being a member of DeviantART for so long, and usually posted millions of exclamation points after ever sentence and never really had anything good to say, haha. The second forum was the good old Forum Advertizer, and things went off from there.

In 2005, I joined a website called, NODQForums, it no longer exists, and perhaps humorously within less than a week, I got banned. I deserved it though because I idiotically spammed my website link to them, I was just starting out on the internet and didn't really know it was that greatly looked down upon or just didn't think about it. They still have a forum, it's just no longer called NODQForums and I personally believe that it's lost everything that made it great.
