I made homemade fried rice for the first time. It is SO much better than the stuff from a Chinese takeout place.

I followed this recipe approximately, but used butter instead of oil (makes a huge flavor difference), and out of the vegetables, only added the onion because I was out of the rest.

You have got to try making it yourself! Super simple, and gave me a reason to use my wok!

Whenever I make Fried Rice myself it just doesn't have the same cohesiveness or perfectly mildly salty flavour as the stuff I buy. :(

I'll keep trying.

I tried making fried rice one time ... It didn't work out so good , maybe I was using the wrong ingredients , but I like the fried rice from Chinese take outs :)

My dad has been making it since late 2011, and it's a perfect meal to be honest :)

Do you know what recipe he uses?
