From the great reviews I have been reading about this compact pistol that takes a very powerful round the 357. decided to shell out the $530.00 dollars for it.
My four pound 1911 gets left in my car all to often when I am working in vacant homes in areas that are all to often on the 6 oclock news for the latest shooting because it can be a pain in the butt to conceal while doing home inspections or preparing homes. So hence the compact 13 ounce Ruger LCR 357. that is a very easy gun to keep concealed.

It now fits in some of my favorite bags I put my camera equipment in also.
The fanny pack which I used this one for my 1911
and Taurus Tracker
but it was a tight fit and now it is way to big for the Ruger.
There are a lot of semi auto compact guns to choose from out there. But a few things kept me from going that direction for a new concealed carry. First revolvers are more reliable and require less thinking when using them in the heat of the moment. And second a revolver does not require you to remember to switch out the ammo every week into another magazine so you do not wear out the springs.
Will be going to the range today to give it a testing with several hundred rounds of ammo and will share my results afterwards for any that might be interested.

With Rugers newly designed smooth trigger pull I could keep a average of 3 inch groupings at 30 feet shooting two hundred rounds of ammo. Damn impressive for a 2 inch barrel.
Here is a photo of one of six targets used. The bigger holes towards the top are my 357. rounds. The other small ones are my fathers little 380. semi auto.
