Have you ever heard of the community software called Forem? I came across it about a month ago when I was browsing forum software. It's a more modern approach to forums, and it's a pain to get set up on your own server and you will need a VPS for this software. It reminds me of Facebook in a way. If I had the time and a VPS I might try and install it though I literally know nothing about the technical server side of websites so I'd probably end up running into some issue and not knowing how to solve it lol. Here's their website so you can learn more about the software:

I will always complain about community software that does not use their software to have an official community and as cool as this looks, I can add it to the list lol.

What do you mean?
It is like forum software that doesn't use its forum as the support forum. It is mind-blowing to me and an instant red flag. This is a microblogging suite and would do well as a way for the devs to push out updates and engage with their users.

By backend do you mean the ACP and mod panel? Have you tried them both?

How does Flavum compare to XF?
They're apples and oranges, XF is the top choice for a forum platforum, Flarum is the top choice for a modern threads system. Both great options, both realistically set for different purposes.
